1st stop: Downtown. People in Nashville take their boots very seriously. I can't tell you how many stores I found on Broadway Street alone that sold boots - like how many different stores can you have that sell the same thing? It was my first glimpse into just how important a fashion icon boots are in the good ole South - and especially in the home of country music...

Why?
One thing I learned: boots are expensive! I mean hundreds of dollars worth expensive. Like real leather boots expensive. Wow.
And...
They weren't that comfortable.
And...
I'm still just a city girl at heart (sigh).

Yes, Tequila Cowboy is featured in the show, in one of its earlier episodes in Season 1, when Avery Barkley performs w/ his band! Go me!
After I walked down Broadway I went straight to the Ryman Auditorium - only the historical site established in 1892 and now famously known as the Mother Church of Country Music!
Weather: "60s," sunny, but a little brisk (still better than what the weather actually was in Boston though).
